Happy Mother's Day
"Mummy! MUMMY!!",the approaching little girl screamed. "What is it, Akiyu?", asked the young mother. "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!" said the little one with a big smile on her face and a huge box of chocolate in her arms. Sakura was visibly touched, since it was the first time for her that she got a present as a real mother. Kneeling down she hugged and kissed her precious girl. "Oh, thank you so much sweety! My, this box will hold out a year at least..so much chocolate." "HIHI not if Daddy helps you!"; giggled Akiyu. Blinking her eyes Sakura said: "That's right, but you can be sure I will keep this box away from him, since it is MY chocolate."   
" I want to hear a story Mum please please! Tell me how you did you know that you liked Dad very much?!" Akiyu was curiously looking at her mother. Sakura was thinking things over before replying: " Well at first I thought your father was a complete idiot and just so annoying and moreover......."; but she stopped because Akiyu had tears in her eyes and with a trembling voice she asked her mother: "W...What y..you didn't like Daddy..b..b..b..but.." Sakura had to calm down her daughter and assured her: " Hey hey just at first, but then I realized what a great man he actually is and that he would do absolutely everything for his friends, no matter what!" "A..And you told him?"; asked the meanwhile becalmed girl. "Well, I had to, since your father liked me from the start and didn't know that I had changed my feelings for him."
Flashback
The battle was finally over, but the results were terrifying. There were just ruins, where the so-called village Konoha-Gakure used to be.  Many ninjas and villagers sacrificed their lives to protect Konoha and its most important person: Naruto
There he stood, lonely and having a look onto the pieces that used to be his beloved village.  He was awakened out of his melancholy by a slight tip on his shoulder. It was Sakura standing in front of him uneasily and unsure what to say. After taking a deep breath she finally started: " I don't know if it is actually the right time  now but I feel that I can't hold back any longer. What I wanted to tell you long time ago, is that although....."; but she was interrupted by Naruto: " I know already there is no need to tell me I understand." Sakura was slightly irritated by his reply because this was something she never expected to happen.  " Y..You know..??!!" The now more energetic Naruto countered: "YES, I know that you can't change your feelings and it is a shock for you that Sasuke died and..." Sakura was now even more irritated: " W..What? Sasuke? What are you talking about? What has this to do with my...." But Naruto didn't listen to her he was just stammering out excuses for Sakura not loving him it seemed he was obsessed with it, as he didn't show any other response. Finally Sakura understood what Naruto thought she would be saying to him and just the fact that he was prepared to get rejected and even forgiving her made Sakura love Naruto even more.
"BAKA!!"; she yelled and gave Naruto a rough but not too hard punch on his back of the head so that he had no other choice than fall on her shoulder. She embraced him tightly and whispered: " This is exactly what I wasn't going to tell you, idiot! If you just would have let me talk you would have known already that.....that I love you! You were always by my side, you supported and protected me, you were one of the few who believed in me and it is also thanks to you that I became a medicine ninja. Honestly I don't care about Sasuke anymore." Naruto was pale he didn't dare to believe what he just heard it was like a dream and just in this moment to confirm that this was reality he felt Sakura's lips on his. They stood there, not moving for a moment or two and when Sakura released Naruto from her embrace he asked:"But what will we do now? There are just ruins left over and it might take years till we are finished." But Sakura just smiled and replied: "Naruto just turn around please." Naruto did as he was told, and what he saw just overwhelmed him. Everyone who had survived the battle was standing there and smiling confidently at him. "you are not alone Naruto we will all help you rebuild Konoha, since we lived here and made memories together. You will never be alone again Naruto, it's a promise;" assured Sakura with a smile.
"And furthermore you will get support from Suna-Gakure as well. Only under one condition, but I think everyone will agree with that;" interrupted Temari.  "What do you mean?"; asked Naruto. "Well Suna-Gakura will only support the reconstruction of Konoha under the condition that Naruto Uzumaki will be its next Hokage;" replied Temari with a grin. Naruto was stunned: "A..And you mean it?!"  Of course everyone was agreeing and finally there was an aim that everyone could follow: The reconstruction of Konoha-Gakure.
Flashback-End
"Oh so this is how Daddy became Hokage?"; said Akiyu. Sakura nodded. "And then he married you right?";the little girl looked curiously at her mother. "Well that was on a different day, but you could say so;" answered Sakura. "Oh tell me Mum, how did he ask you, I want to know! Please please please tell me!!"  "No, no this is another story, Akiyu and besides it has gotten quite late it's time for you to go to bed!" Clearly disappointed the little girl went upstairs without complaining, since it was Mother's Day, she didn't dare to make her angry but before she entered her room she asked her mother one last question: " But where is Daddy, Mummy?" " Oh don't worry Daddy will be back by tomorrow, you know as a Hokage he has many things to do and he said that he probably wouldn't manage to arrive by today;" replied Sakura. Akiyu was satisfied with that answer and went into her room.
But Sakura should be mistaken, a couple of hours after she sent her daughter to sleep she heard the front door open and a well-known voice said: "Tadaima!" Sakura walked hastily towards the door and there he stood, her beloved husband Naruto. "Okairi", she greeted with a smile "I thought you were coming back tomorrow?"
"Oh, so you want me to leave again?", boasted Naruto. "Of course not you idiot, you know what I meant, his wife replied.
"Hehe I know, but I didn't want to miss this special day.."
".....special day?"  "Hehe I know sometimes I forget a lot of things but I didn't forget that today is mother's day! So happy Mother's Day, Sakura!!" And like a magician he got a bunch of roses from his back, giving them his wife. She happily took them, but before she could speak out a Thank you, she additionally got a kiss from him.
"Akiyu is already sleeping, isn't she? Which means we are alone....."; clarified Naruto. His eyes were sparkling full of burning desire. Of course Sakura knew what that meant and she thought that now would be a good time to drop the bombshell. "Well actually we are NOT;" she murmured. "What?! Hasn't Akiyu gone to bed yet?" asked the irritated Naruto. "No, I mean yes, but that still doesn't mean we are alone." "Oh, so we will be having guests you mean?"  "NO, YOU IDIOT!"; Sakura sighed but then she decided to give her husband one last hint. She put her hand on her belly and smiled. Naruto finally realized and stammered out: "Y..You a..are...?"
"Yes, dear I am pregnant.!!;" smiled Sakura.
